These terms govern use of dbrosrilankatravels.com and the private driver-guide services we offer through it.

About our service

D'Bro Sri Lanka Travels provides a small private tour and driver service in Sri Lanka. We are not a fully packaged tour operator — accommodation, restaurants, attraction tickets, and international flights are not included in our service. What we provide:

  • A private vehicle and driver
  • Route planning support and local recommendations
  • Airport pickup and drop-off
  • WhatsApp support before, during, and after your trip
  • Flexible stops along the route at your pace
  • Driver accommodation, meals, fuel, and local insurance

You book separately: hotels, restaurants, attraction entry tickets, internal flights or trains, and your travel insurance.

Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed only once you and we have agreed on dates, route, and pricing in writing — typically by email or WhatsApp.

A confirmed booking requires an advance payment. The remaining balance can be paid before or during the tour, based on agreed booking terms. Pricing is quoted in USD or EUR at time of booking. Local payment processing fees, where applicable, are your responsibility.

Cancellations

If you need to cancel:

  • More than 30 days before your tour start date — full refund of advance payment, less any non-refundable third-party costs we have already incurred on your behalf.
  • 14 to 30 days before — 50% refund of advance payment.
  • Less than 14 days before — no refund of advance payment, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.

If we need to cancel — for example due to severe weather, force majeure, or our driver being unwell — we will offer a full refund or, where possible, reschedule to a date that works for you.

Itinerary changes

Routes and stops can be adjusted during the trip based on weather, road conditions, traveller preference, and local advice. We will always tell you why a change is suggested. The final decision is yours, with our local knowledge as input.

Eligibility

Our service is available for couples, families, and solo travellers. We do not run large group tours (eight or more) — the vehicle and our personal style aren't suited to it.

Liability

  • We carry local vehicle insurance for the trip.
  • You are responsible for arranging your own travel insurance, including trip cancellation, medical, and personal-effects coverage. We strongly recommend it.
  • We are not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by third parties (hotels, airlines, attractions) or events outside our reasonable control (severe weather, civil disturbance, force majeure).
  • Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for any liability that cannot be limited by law.

Disputes and governing law

These terms and any disputes arising from them are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka. We will always try to resolve any concerns directly first — please email us at hello@dbrosrilankatravels.com. EU consumers may also be entitled to use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Bookings already confirmed are governed by the version of the terms in effect at the time of confirmation.
